SO!

housekeeping issues since i've been online-mia for awhile..

1.) i started my fall session today. and i have come to the conclusion that i can not handle juki sewing machines aaand my philosophy teacher is a total nutjob. nevertheless, he is a highly interesting man and i am determined to NOT fail this class again like i did in community college.

anyhoo i'm taking clothing construction 1, critical thinking, merchandising principles and practices, and college math. oh god. 4 classes this term means more expenses.. $492.14 in books added to my fabulous loan.

2.) le vintage apparel is progessing quickly. i networked with 3 thrift stores in the area, 2 in sf, and 1 in LA. due to the fact i've been working like a dog, i had to push back deadlines by ohhhh.... 5 months. rainy season has hit, meaning i can't take the boss 302 out to play. small photoshoots for the next 3 months until i actually put stuff out for sale. hopefully i can get this dress form in soon so that the clothes are more than one size.

3.) 14 more months til i get my associates!! damn you iadt for delaying my future by 4 months by starting these bloody 12 week courses.

4.) and as much as i never wanted to talk about this again.. HELLWEEK. hellweek = finals week + work everyday week. grades have been up for about a week now, but i was way too scared to look at them since i was pretty sure that i didn't do well at all in 2/3 classes. so here was my end result.. could've been better but at least i passed..

expository writing: A-
pattern drafting 1: C+ (i got so fucking lucky. don't ever try and make a full front and back bodice draft in 2 hours)

5.) and to further explain the title of this post.. i have been a very spontaneous one this past week. i'm managed to work 30 hours AND go on mini-adventures until the wee hours of the morning. hmm i went to el dorado hills early this week.. sat on a hill and looked for aliens. went to betos around 1am and ate like a savage in the parking lot of home depot with my new spontaneous friend who will go un-named until issues become resolved in our own lives. thennn i went to el cerrito to a very upscale hookah lounge. i was impressed.. except the hooka at home hit way harder.. but it was good times.. plus i learned how to play pool.. and a whole bunch of other stuff too but i don't really wanna get into that much.

oh, and my birthday is coming up.. no this is not a hint.. ;)
