this thanksgiving, i decided i was going to make my outfit. knowing me, i would wait until the day before to make it.

which i did.

which i JUST finished right now.

which i'm super happy about.

i just did a floral tubetop with gathers in the front. originally, i was going to attach a high waisted black A-line skirt to it, but it's 12:54am, and i'm really trying to go to sleep.

SO, changing the subject.. this is what happens when i go back home for the weekend.

right when i open the garage, my sister runs out to my car, rain or shine, to come out and hug me. when i come in the house, milo starts whimpering because he knows he's gonna be the last to be greeted. my mom gives her normal "babyyyyygirl!" hug. and my dad on the otherhand says (in his fake deep voice), "my first one. you never come home anymore" and smells my head. then tiff comes down, usually looking hella scrub and ugly, with a very tall hug. meaning i have to tippytoe. and she's 15. lastttt, milo. usually by the time i make my rounds, he's done peeing. so then i pick him up and give him some lovin. being home has never felt so good.

i've decided that i'm not going to eat turkey. why? i'm not one of those freaky peta animal lovers, cause i do enjoy scarfing down a slab of meat every now and then. and when i say every now and then, i mean every other day. BUT, i do feel like my contribution to the turkey slaughtering could be counted out this year. plus, i always end up gaining at least 5 pounds in a weekend, and then i have to face the dreaded scale when i get home.

anyway,

i'm so happy both sides of my family are spending this thanksgiving together.

i smell a fabulous weekend. :)
